We at Toddler Little Tikes realize that a happy family begins with a happy and healthy mother, and in my case, grandmother. As a very satisfied customer, I can honestly say that HoMedics products work. I use it while sitting at my desk, driving long distances, or just relaxing on my bed. Not surprisingly, it works wonders with my grandson, who squeals with delight whenever I allow him to sit on it. It easily attaches to my office chair or car seat with secure Velcro straps. For those unexpected, occasional accidents, spills and other grime have come off quite easily by spot cleaning with a damp cloth. On those evenings where I just want to relax in bed, I lay it flat on my mattress, place a couple of pillows under my knees, put on soft music, and get lulled to sleep by its gentle roller mechanisms.

The Little Tikes Prep ‘n Serve Kitchen is certainly far beyond any toy kitchen I had to play with as a child. First of all, when I was growing up, a lot of toys, especially kitchen sets and tables were made of wood. Plastic wasn’t as utilized back then as it is today. Yes, I am a 1960’s baby! This playset, as most other products manufactured by Little Tikes is truly state-of-the-art in children’s play. It is subtly colored in creams, powder blue, and brown – not bright, over stimulating colors that many other toy companies tend to manufacture. This toy kitchen will make even the most finicky little girl happy.
Features of this ultra-modern toy kitchen include an island peninsula, faux granite counter tops and appliances with the look of real stainless steel. Because it is made of durable plastic, it is easy to clean with a damp sponge – part of every good cook’s job description! Although it is a little tight, there are small cabinets and shelves to store the cooking utensils, dishes, pots and pans, and groceries. Of course, your children will need to cook, store, and clean her kitchen, and this lovely set-up comes with an oven, refrigerator, and microwave oven. In fact, this Little Tikes kitchen comes with more appliances than most apartments! But wait – there’s more! No chef could work without a step stool – and that too is included in the Prep ‘N Serve Kitchen Playset.

I am the grandmother of a toddler, little tikes boy and I am shopping for a toddler bed by Little Tikes. The trouble is that I am torn between several of the models. My first inkling is to choose the Thomas & Friends™ Train Bed because his parents got him interested in trains at a very young age. They have a steam engine DVD which simply mesmerizes him. He is very alert to the sound of a train as well. When we play outside and he hears a train in the distance, he immediately calls out, “train!” I might add that he does the same thing with planes, helicopters, trucks, vans, and motorcycles. The trouble is that Little Tikes doesn’t make a bed out of any of those machines.
